This course covers the mandatory minimum requirements of regulation II/1 of STCW 1978, as amended in 1995, for the training requirements of officers in charge of a navigational watch. It is based on the minimum knowledge required for certification of officers in charge of a navigational watch on ships of 500 gross tonnage and more, as set out in section A-II/1 of the STCW Code.
