This course provides advanced, specialized training for those onboard oil tankers who have immediate responsibility for loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of oil cargoes. It also includes oil tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, prevention and control of pollution, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations that comply with the mandatory minimum training required by regulation V/1 of STCW 1978, as amended in 1995. The course also includes the training needed to apply the provisions of Annex I of MARPOL.
