The concept of the IHI SPB LNG carrier has been previously introduced on various occasions. It has been approved by such major Classification Societies as ABS, BV, DnV, LRS, NK and GLR, and the USCG. IHI has abundant experience in both research and application of aluminium welding, including construction of heavy walled LNG storage tanks and particle accelerator facilities used in the research of high energy physics. It has always been a leading company in the construction of aluminium structures. This paper describes briefly the advances and experience of aluminium welding at IHI and how this can be applied in SPB tank construction.

Silverlight is compatible with the major web browsers used on Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.

However it is not supported on Linux, Android, Windows RT and iPad devices and therefore the Cloud eBooks use an HTML site in these instances.

The HTML site is more restricted than the Silverlight version.
